A Bloom from the Ashes
2020 wasn’t exactly sunshine and roses (well, dried roses anyway!). It was a challenging time, with a global pandemic and economic hardship hitting Lebanon hard. But amidst the struggle, a seed of hope took root – a passion for living a healthy and balanced life.
That seed, for me, was the uplifting fragrance of Jouri Roses, the Arabic name for dried roses. Back then, each cup of rose tea felt like a little journey for the senses, a moment of pure transformation. It was that spark of joy, a beacon in the darkness, that ignited the flame of Jouri. It wasn’t just about tea, though; it became a bigger mission, a way to offer a path to a better life for those seeking it.
Driven by Nature’s Bounty
Fast forward, and here I am perched in the serene mountains of Jbeil, Lassa village. Nature’s abundance became my sanctuary during those tough times. Surrounded by the overflowing garden of my husband’s family, I couldn’t resist diving into the world of herbs and leaves.
Experimenting with these natural treasures became an adventure, and soon, new and exciting tea blends were born! What truly sparked Jouri into existence wasn’t just my own passion, but the encouragement of my loved ones. Friends and family, captivated by the calming properties and unique flavors of my tea blends, urged me to share them with the world. Their support fueled my fire, and Jouri blossomed from a personal passion project into a full-fledged herbal tea business.
